old anxieties
wind tugs at browning leaves
time to let go
Happy Thanksgiving! I was recently reminded of this lovely poem fragment by Mary Oliver:
“Instructions for living a life: Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.”
I am very grateful for the fact that, as a poet and artist, I get to live these instructions every day. I’m also grateful for the wonderful support I’ve gotten from friends old and new for the path that I’ve embarked on this year.
For you Humboldt folks, you can catch me in person and peruse my cards, prints, handmade books and art t-shirts at holiday fairs over the next three weekends. And folks can connect with me any time by phone or email.
Wishing you all the best for this season of friends, family, feasting, and gratitude.
