Original Pieces

Annette Makino’s Japanese-inspired paintings incorporate original haiku and other words. Using bamboo brushes, most pieces are painted with sumi ink and Japanese watercolors on paper. As is traditional in Asian art, paintings are stamped in red with a personal seal of the artist’s name. Many of the pieces shown in the gallery are available for sale. Annette also offers custom pieces.

Art Prints

Selected pieces are available as digital prints, professionally printed on an HP Indigo press that produces offset-quality reproductions, with fade-resistant ink on acid-free paper from a supplier that is certified to be 100% carbon-neutral. Annette individually signs each print. Please contact Annette Makino if you are interested in ordering a print of a painting shown in the gallery. In addition, a few pieces are offered as signed prints via the print section of the MakinoStudios Etsy shop.

    Annette does an art demo

Annette Makino offers her paintings, prints, calendars and cards at selected stores, online, and at fairs and show.

Each year, Annette creates a calendar featuring natural landscapes, animals and flowers. Most of the Japanese-inspired art includes Annette’s original haiku. These mini-calendars can be ordered in the Makino Studios Etsy shop.
